EPDM Rubber roofs
Our EPDM rubber roof solutions boast exceptional durability, with a lifespan that easily exceeds 60 years, maintenance free. EPDM rubber is by far the quickest system to install, and is often a single piece of rubber membrane, with no seam joints. EPDM is extremely resilient to hot and cold conditions and can even have a log burner flue pass through the membrane with no issues. EPDM is very good for the environment, being made from recycled tyres, will not contaminate rainwater and can generally be installed over the top of existing roof covers, reducing the amount waste being sent to landfill.
GRP Fibreglass roofs
Fibreglass roofs are becoming less common, but still a very good flat roof solution. Fibreglass is generally a longer process to install and does come with some maintenance that we like to tell customers about. In order to get a long lifespan of 20+ years from a fibreglass roof, it will need an annual chemical and jet wash clean as well as every few years, a recoat. Fibreglass can sometimes be more preferable where lots of corner details, such as roof lanterns are present.
Cold applied felt roofs
Cold applied felt roofs have replaced the now old fashioned torch on felt. This is really due to the safety risks of needing a large gas bottle to produce a hot naked flame to apply the felt. Felt roofs are the cheapest materials of the flat roof installation range, but also takes the longest to install. We still do cold applied felt roofs, generally due to legacy issues, but generally we’d recommend one of our other systems.
